* Attributed as the likely work of Louise Ames Norman, née Louise Kimball Ames, in a handwritten note on back of moulding by her nephew, Winslow Ames, in 1985

* Mounted in wooden frame with hand stamped matting and glass glazing

* Bookplate and ornament in excellent condition

* Frame shows signs of wear, including small chips, nicks and scuffs throughout finish
